Bertolt Bretch
Dramaturgo y poeta marxista alemán. La búsqueda de Brecht se centró en aquellas formas que le permitieran estimular el sentido crítico del espectador. Fue así que creó el teatro épico o dialéctico.
Perseguido por el nazismo y el macartismo, pasó gran parte de su vida adulta en el exilio. En 1949, al regresar a Berlín del Este, fundó la compañía de teatro Berliner Ensemble.

German Marxist playwright and poet. Brecht’s search focused on forms that would allow him to stimulate the critical sense of the audience. This led him to create epic or dialectical theater.
Persecuted by Nazism and McCarthyism, he spent much of his adult life in exile. In 1949, upon returning to East Berlin, he founded the Berliner Ensemble theater company.
