Fatima Ahmed Ibrahim
Feminista y política sudanesa. Fue miembro del Politburó del Partido Comunista, cofundó la Unión Sudanesa de Mujeres y presidió el Sindicato de Mujeres. En 1965 fue elegida diputada del parlamento de Sudán y se convirtió en la primera mujer en ser elegida como miembro del parlamento, no solo en Sudán, sino en todo Oriente Medio y África.

Sudanese feminist and politician. She was a member of the politburo of the Communist Party, co-founded the Sudanese Women’s Union and became its chair. In 1965, she was elected to Sudanese parliament and became the first woman elected as a member of parliament, not only in Sudan, but in the whole of the Middle East and Africa.
